Welcome to Sunpie's Bistro, the one and only Louisiana-themed, 5-star dive bar in Steamboat Springs, Colorado!

So how did a place like Sunpie's appear in the middle of the Rocky Mountains? The original owners, Mike and Colleen Miller, spent time living in NOLA before they moved to Steamboat where they decided to open Sunpie's back in 2005. They thought this sleepy rancher town could use a little life and brought their Mardi Gras spirit and pizzaz with them! Since then, Sunpie's has grown into the powerhouse ski town staple that it is today!

Fun Fact: Sunpie's is named after a famous jazz singer, Sunpie! He and his band, The Louisiana Sunspots, became fixtures of the annual New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival!

Mike and Colleen have since passed the torch on to two families, who have worked hard to keep their New Orleans traditions alive and well!

Walk in the doors, and you are immediately transported to Bourbon Street!

If our eclectic decorations don't memorize you at the door, head to the backyard where our incredible beer garden meets the mighty Yampa River! You can watch all kinds of watercraft cruise by in the summers or catch the professional ski jumpers at Howelsen Olympic Training Center in the winters!

Our famous hurricane cocktails, dangerously delicious, are the perfect match to our chef's culinary concoctions! Of course, we have the traditional po'boys and gumbo for our traditionalists, but our chefs don't stop there! Our daily specials feature incredible dishes from all over the world!
